Northcoast Seafoods Limited was originally founded in 2000 and has rapidly established itself as a major force throughout Europe in the sales and marketing of both cooked and peeled cold water prawns and other white fish products sourced from Newfoundland, Canada, Iceland and Asia.
As part of the long established and renowned Kangamiut Seafood Group, in addition to the Head Office in Grimsby, United Kingdom, we have a wholly owned subsidiary company Northcoast Seafood DK a/s based in Dronninglund, Denmark, together with a further subsidiary company Marisco GmbH based in Hamburg, Germany. With our International locations plus a number of Kangamiut subsidiary companies based in Greenland, Denmark, Iceland, Germany, France, UK, Canada and the Far East we have contact with and access to raw material from most European and overseas markets.
In November 2006 the company expanded their product portfolio to include the sales and marketing of white fish products sourced from Iceland, Canada and Asia. During 2008 Ian Dillerstone, with many years experience within the industry joined the company to consolidate and further develop this venture. We also established a new subsidiary company, Marisco GmbH in Germany during June 2008 in co-operation with Martin Leudtke, whom has an excellent reputaion and considerable experience within the seafood industry both in Europe and Asia.
As the largest single importer of cooked and peeled cold water prawns into Europe from Canada and Newfoundland in recent years, together with our experience of other seafood products, we are able to offer our client base a comprehensive service with unequalled support.
We are also pleased to announce that Northcoast Seafoods Limited was the proud winner of the Royal Bank of Scotland International Trade Award in the recent 2009 Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards ceremony held in Grimsby.
