Northcoast strike gold!

We attended the prestigious, and highly recognised in the industry, BFFF Annual Awards on Thursday 8th June at the London Hilton Park Lane Hotel that are now in their 30th year. We were delighted and very honoured to have picked up the Retail Product of the Year for our very own Fishmonger’s Favourite Two Salmon and King Prawn Stacks and the Gold Award for Best New Fish-based Retail Product too.

The awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by all of the team here at Northcoast that make it all happen!


WWF Project in Vietnam!

Resealable Packs in Frozen!

Northcoast Seafoods collaborated with Parkside to create a first to market re-close pack for frozen foods!

Chloe Darwood from Northcoast Seafoods, said: “We were originally looking for a re-close pouch though after hearing about Parkside’s reseal options, we were sold. We have been suitably impressed with Parkside’s solutions and the company’s expertise. The team worked closely with our co-packer to ensure the new pack ran down existing packing lines, avoiding any extra costs in additional machines. At Northcoast Seafoods, we are excited to have developed the first resealable pack developed for the freezer.”

April 21st-23rd 2015

Northcoast Seafoods will once again be exhibiting at the Brussels Seafood Show this year (April 21st-23rd inclusive) with representatives from our UK and Danish offices in attendance. The stand will also be shared by our partners at Canadian Seafoods (Canada office) and Marisco (German office).

2015 will see the Kangamiut group have the largest presence ever at Brussels with the biggest stand area per square metre ever!

Our stand is in it’s usual position in hall 5 (stand 429).

The Brussels Seafood show is the ideal setting / timing for meetings with producers and customers (sometimes both at the same time!) ahead of the main catching seasons. Northcoast Seafoods look forward to another successful show in 2015.

Our Managing Director Fridrik Thorsteinsson, our International Sales & Procurement Manager’s Ian Dillerstone and recently joined staff member Chris Baird along with our Technical Manager Leigh McKenna will be attending the Brussels Seafood Exposition in 2013. The European Seafood Exposition in Brussels is the worlds largest seafood fair and anyone who’s anyone in the seafood industry will be there. Buyers and sellers from more than 140 countries will be in attendance, so it’s an event not to be missed!

On the 19th of June 2009 Northcoast Seafoods Ltd attended the 2009 Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards, hosted by Will McFadzean in Grimsby. Proudly we accepted the Royal Bank of Scotland International Trade Award, presented to us by Helen Philpot (MD of Immage Studios Ltd based in Immingham and Channel 7 Community Interest Company). The award was to recognise the significant growth we had experienced in the previous year in International Trade.
